Lemon Spinach

One of our favorite ingredients on our BIKINI CLEANSE approved list is spinach. It has tons of nutrients, it’s easy to prepare, and you can make it with just about anything. This 100% Bikini approved spinach side dish is a great way to get your greens in this holiday without having to add too many ingredients. Enjoy babes!

 

 

 

 

 

 

INGREDIENTS (Serves 6)

 

• 1 lb fresh spinach

• 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

• 1/2 medium onion, diced

• ground black pepper

• juice of 1 lemon

 

 

 

DIRECTIONS

 

• Rinse spinach and dry the leaves and then coarsly chop the leaves.

• In a large, non-stick skillet, heat the olive oil on low heat, just enough heat to warm it up.

• Add onion and cook, stirring occasionall, until the onions are translucent, soft, and beginning to get brown bits. This can take 10 – 12 minutes at low heat.

• Add the spinach to the pan, stirring gently yto allow the leave to wilt. when they’re beginning to get soft, add the lemon juice and stir.

• Sprinkle with fresh ground pepper, then serve immediately.
