Cumin– This little guy may be small in size but certainly packs a healthy punch! Not only is cumin delicious with its nutty peppery flavor but it will keep your blood flowing and your energy high! Cumin is packed with iron which, in the short version, creates energy you project outwards and elso energy inside that ramps up your metabolism. Not to mention iron is especially important for woman who naturally lose tons during that special time of the month 🙂

 

Cayenne– It’s spicy but it will be sure to spice up your life! This pepper is essential in eastern medicine practices to relieve pain and increase circulation. Cayenne is also pretty great at suppressing your appetite.

Fun fact: According to a study done at Purdue University, mixing cayenne pepper with your food can result in an additional 10 calories burned for four hours after eating.

 

Ginger– Ginger will relieve your gas! Anyways, ginger has tons of great anti inflamatory and pain relief properties. And it tastes delishious.

 

Cinnamon – Cinnamon is great for lowering blood sugar levels, thus being an essential ingredient to any healthy diet. It also helps to lower a person’s total cholesterol levels and is a favorite ingredient in holistic Type 2 diabetes.

 Depending on what type of curry you’re eating, there may or may not be a lot of cinnamon in it. However, after hearing about its health benefits, you may want to up the quantities of this spice.

 

Turmeric – Turmeric is healthy for you because it is a natural anti-inflammatory. It works great to reduce the painful effects of arthritis.
