This workout system uses the Megareformer, made by the creator of the SPX Fitness System Sebastien Lagree, which allows you to tone and tighten your body by working multiple muscles at once with slow, controlled movements. Megareformer fans include Guiliana Rancic, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kim Kardashian. With such a star studded fanbase, we just had to see what all the buzz was about!
The Studio (MDR) hosted a fabulous event that included the ladies of Bikini Cleanse as well as the boho chic beauties at Show Me Your Mumu. When we walked in, we couldn’t help but fall in love with this boutique studio. From the hot pink lights to the detailed wallpaper, we were gushing. After several pre-workout selfies were taken, each girl grabbed a megareformer and learned every inch of that machine that we would be sweating on for the next hour.
If you’re thinking, “I’ve done pilates, this is no problem,” then think again! This pilates-on-steroids class had us sweating bullets and was like nothing we had ever done before! With the help of trainer Mary Miller, we used the Megareformer to focus on our arms, abs and booty with small, concentrated movements. What you lack in movement, you make up for in pain, but wow was it worth it. With the music bumping and the adrenaline kicking in, we felt a surge of energy as our instructor pushed us to the limit!
Will we go back? Hell yeah! To say we are addicted to this workout method would be an understatement. Maybe it was sheer excitement, but we definitely saw a lengthened and toned look only 1 day later! To see these fast results, we suggest working out alongside the Bikini Cleanse or a clean and healthy diet. Next time, we recommend having slip-grip socks, a hand towel and plenty of water to keep you hydrated!
