How Tomatoes Help You Lose Weight

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 2 lbs. plum or mixed tomatoes, sliced

  • 3 tbsp. of extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano

  • 2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar

  • 2 garlic cloves minced

  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves, torn

  • Freshly ground black pepper

 

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325 F.

  2. Place the sliced tomatoes on a baking pan.

  3. In a bowl, combine the EVOO, oregano, balsamic vinegar, garlic cloves, basil and as much pepper as desired. Mix well.

  4. Drizzle the vinaigrette over the tomatoes and place in the oven.

  5. Bake for 1 hour and serve immediately.
