  1. Get Your Cardio On – Cardio is one of the greatest ways to lose weight all over! This exercise helps you lose fat in hard-to-work areas, like your face and neck. While some of you might not be big fans of running, try a spin class or dance class to help increase your daily dose of cardio.

  2. Target Specific Muscle Groups – There are some areas that need more attention than others like your abs and your booty. When going to the gym, create a plan to tone these specific areas (like our five minute fitness plan) and add extra time to your workout dedicated to those parts of your body. Get it right, get it tight!

  3. Breastfeed – Breastfeeding is not only beneficial to your baby, but it’s also necessary for your body! Studies show that breastfeeding can burn up to 500 calories per day, allowing you to shed weight while you get some quality baby and mommy time.**

  4. Hydrate – Like most weight loss tips, hydration is key for weight loss success. Drinking water not only keeps you full longer, but helps your body shed excess fat, toxins, and even extra water weight! Make sure to drink at least half of your body weight in ounces.

  5. Relax –  Studies have shown that high levels of cortisol (the hormone released when you’re stressed) make it harder to lose weight! So make sure to take some time for yourself. Whether you’re getting 8 hours of sleep, taking a leisurely stroll with your baby, or getting some mommy time at the day spa, make sure you get some you time every once in awhile!
