How to Look Your Best for Your Bridal Shower

Hey there, bikini brides! Summer is the peak season for weddings, so naturally, there are plenty of bridal showers coming up! We’ve done our research and rounded up some advice from our newlywed friends so you know how to look your best for your bridal shower. We’re assuming that most of our brides are on some sort of fitness regimen to get ready for the big day, so we’ve left the fitness part out of this guide (phew!). But we have a few tricks up our sleeves when it comes to preparing for this equally special milestone before your wedding!

  1. Shop ‘Till You Drop – A lot of brides-to-be go for a typical bridal shower dress in shades of white (it is your wedding after all!), but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear something a little outside of the box. White, black, glitter, or rainbow, shop around for the best outfit that encompasses your personality! Make sure you check out your local fashion boutique or some foreign shops online for your perfect outfit. Leave no stone unturned. And while you want to look your best, try something on the comfier side. Most bridal showers have games and last all day long, so you want to make sure you aren’t strapped too tightly into that dress!

  2. Get a Natural, Healthy Glow – Nothing will make your bridal shower outfit pop quite like a spray tan. Not only will a spray tan give you a healthy, sun kissed glow, but you can also use this as an opportunity to shop around for your wedding-day spray tan. *Remember: you’re not going for a dark tan but a subtle, airbrushed look. Don’t go more than 1-2 shades  darker than your normal skin tone and make sure to get your tan 2 days before the event!

  3. Call the Glam Squad – Call in for some back up! Instead of using your old makeup or straightener, get your hair and makeup professionally done! A little extra help will make you feel a little less stressed and little more special. If you’re on a strict pre-wedding budget, there are plenty of affordable options when it comes to sourcing for some help. Dry bar is great for a quick hairstyle on the cheap and certain makeup counters at the mall will do a free makeover when you buy their products!

  4. Get a Funky Mani/Pedi – We’re all about a quick trip to our local nail salon, and this time, try something a little different! Most wedding mani/pedis call for nudes, clear, and french manicures so that your dress and accessories are sure to stand out. So why not try a funky pattern or bright color for your shower? Dress up your nails to match your theme or mood!

  5. Get Your Bikini Cleanse On – Looking to detox and slim down before your bridal shower? Bikini Cleanse is the perfect solution for ridding your body of toxins while losing weight in the process. *Worried about too much cleansing before the big day? While we don’t recommend doing the Bikini Cleanse for longer than 2 weeks, Bikini Cleanse is perfectly safe to do once a month! As long as your shower is one month before your wedding, you can go ahead and do the cleanse again before your wedding day!
