Bikini Cleanse Day 1: Feeling Pumped

As one of the Editors at Bikini Cleanse, I wanted to introduce myself to all of you as we kick-ass together during this New Year Group Cleanse. While the whole office is participating in the cleanse, this is my personal how-to and what-to-do support guide for the week. Ahh, Day 1, my favorite day of the cleanse. If you’re like me, you’re feeling pumped, ready for change, and maybe a little hungover from last night’s New Year’s Eve countdown. All the more reason to feel ready to start our Bikini Cleanse.

 

I received my box and everything looks gorgeous and organized! From the large pink smoothie packets to our chic white box, we’re getting thinner just looking at it all. Although, we can’t help but feel intimidated as we flip through our BIKINI Passport, but we know we’re going to kick some serious butt this week.

 

I usually like to workout in the morning before heading over to Bikini Cleanse Headquarters. So, after I’ve enjoyed my yummy Bikini Smoothie, I’m off to a late morning SoulCycle class this New Year’s Day! With the upbeat energy and the all-consuming music, it’s the perfect way to start the day and get my 45 minutes of sweat in! And in Santa Monica, it’s not completely unheard of to spot a celebrity or two rocking to the beat!

Work just feels better today. As I practically inhale my Bikini Sticks and celery as the awesome Pandora mix plays in the office, I feel ready to do some work! And while the office is the perfect place for bikini inspiration, it’s hard to be hungry when we are so busy writing, shipping, and emailing.

 

For lunch, I packed sashimi in my ready-to-go tupperware. Keep on reading this post for today’s recipe!

 

Salmon Sashimi over Cutting Board

 

After a short work day, I plan on relaxing at home with my fiancee, Netflix, an Ahi Tuna dinner from the BIKINICLEANSE Blog, and my Bikini Tea. If you’re a tea freak like me, this might be your favorite part of the day! The chamomile allows me to relax while the citrus-y livens up the taste. I can’t think of a more perfect evening!

 

Salmon Sashimi Recipe

 

Ingredients:

-6 ounces of sushi grade salmon (very important!)

-Lemon wedge

-Ginger

-Sprinkle of basil

-Sprinkle of mint

 

Directions:

-Slice salmon and slice into 1 ounce pieces

-Artfully lay out the salmon slices on a plate and squeeze lemon wedge over all of the pieces. Distribute evenly.

-Take ginger and grate over each piece, lightly

-Chop basil and mint finely and sprinkle onto each piece of salmon
