Bikini Inspo with Lauren

Sometimes, our Bikini Smoothie protein boost isn’t enough to get us through the midweek slump or a cozy day on the couch. That’s when we call upon some inspiration for help! One of our awesome bikini babes, Lauren Fulton, tried BIKINI CLEANSE and had fantastic results. Lauren shares not only her results, but how the BIKINI CLEANSE helped make her trip to Europe one of the most memorable milestones in her life!

BC: How did you first hear about BIKINI CLEANSE?

LF: I’m a regular at the studio MDR and they started to offer them there. They actually did an Instagram competition for one, but I didn’t even come close to winning. I followed Bikini Cleanse on Instagram and saw that you were raffling a package, so I responded and won. It was kismet!

BC: Was this cleanse for a special occasion or trip?

LF: My 30th birthday was coming up and my boyfriend and I had planned a trip to Spain and Portugal. All of the photos that were bound to happen were my motivation.

BC: That trip sounds divine! What was your health regimen (diet and workout routine) like before the 7-day cleanse? What’s it like now?

LF: I have always been a runner and I take Pilates classes. I run 5-6 days/week and go to The Studio MDR 3x/week. My exercise routine has remained the same, but my diet has shifted. I am more sensitive to sugar and salt intake now than I used to be.

BC: How did you feel during the cleanse? What were your biggest obstacles? What was your favorite part?

LF: I felt great during the cleanse. The best part was that I didn’t get the after lunch crash that I used to and I didn’t need caffeine in the mornings. I blame carbs now for those crashes, and believe the morning shake replaced the caffeine. It wasn’t actually difficult for me to stick to the routine. I just needed to plan ahead, which was probably my biggest hurdle. I found that I actually missed sweet potatoes and almonds the most, much to my surprise because I am a baked good girl through and through. The sugar craving hit pretty hard on the third day. However, having a “time limit” in-sight forced me over that day three hump.

BC: How much weight did you lose? How many inches?

LF: In total I lost 7.6 lbs. in only 7 days! Crazy! I’m not sure on the inches, but I’m only 5′-3″, so it must have been something. The best part about it is that I haven’t gained it all back, unlike most cleanses. I’m still 7lbs down!

BC: You cannot beat those results. How did you feel once the cleanse was over?

LF: After the cleanse was over, I was actually sad. I missed the shake and the night time tea! Health-wise, I felt wonderful and very proud of myself. I had kicked caffeine and didn’t have any cravings for salt or sugar.

BC: Can you tell us about your daily routine during the cleanse? What workouts did you do? What recipes did you try?

LF: During the cleanse my workout regime remained the same. I was already actively training for a half marathon, so I just kept going. I also continued classes at The Studio MDR 3x/week.
For recipes I tried a squash recipe that was posted on the Bikini Cleanse website that was AMAZING and I got more creative with the way I cooked my greens. You can do a lot with olive oil, lemon, garlic, and pepper!

BC: Thanks for the tips! Lastly, is there anything special you want to share with us? Any stories?

LF: It turns out that I am very happy I did this cleanse before my trip because I left with a boyfriend and came back with a fiance! Pictures galore!
